Propaganda I’m Not Falling For (And You Shouldn’t Either)

From diet culture to hustle culture, we've been conditioned to believe a long list of lies about our bodies, our value, and our potential. This isn't just about rejecting trends, it’s about reclaiming our autonomy, rewriting the rules, and reminding every woman that she was never the problem. These are the narratives I refuse to accept, and why you shouldn't either.

Hey ladies!

We’re bombarded every day with messages about how to eat, move, look, feel, and live. And if you’ve ever felt like you’re constantly failing or falling short, that’s not your fault.

It’s the result of toxic conditioning designed to keep women chasing unrealistic ideals, and doubting our own power.

So I’m drawing a line in the sand.

These are the 17 lies I’m not falling for anymore, and I hope you won’t either.

🛑 1. Everyone has the same body to fix

Reality: There is no universal "problem body." We are all built differently, shaped by our genetics, lifestyle, history, and biology. Pretending that everyone needs to follow the same routine or look the same to be “healthy” or “fit” is not just unrealistic,it’s damaging. Your body is not broken. It’s doing its best, and it deserves personalized support, not one-size-fits-all solutions.

🛑 2. GLP-1 is enough for fat loss

Reality: Medications like GLP-1 might help reduce appetite, but they don’t replace the power of sustainable habits, self-awareness, mindset work, emotional healing, and muscle maintenance. Fat loss is multifaceted. No prescription can teach you how to nourish your body, repair your relationship with food, or build strength. You’re not broken, you just need holistic care.

🛑 3. Aging means your body is expiring

Reality: Aging is a privilege. Every wrinkle, scar, and stretch mark is a sign of life lived, not something to erase. Your body isn’t expiring,it’s evolving. You don’t become less valuable as you get older. You become wiser, stronger, more resilient, and more fully you. Aging doesn’t shrink your worth; it deepens it.

🛑 4. Manifesting is just saying what you want

Reality: Manifesting isn’t about sitting on your couch hoping for a miracle. It’s about aligning your mindset, beliefs, and actions with what you desire. It's doing the inner work, healing, visualizing, rewiring your thoughts, and the outer work. Real manifesting means showing up consistently and becoming the version of you who already has what she’s asking for.

🛑 5. Women are limited

Reality: This is one of the oldest lies in the book, and it’s still weaponized against us. Women are powerful, adaptive, intuitive, brilliant, and limitless. We lead, build, create, raise, overcome, and innovate. Our only real limits are the ones imposed by systems and stories that were never meant to empower us. And we are rewriting them.

🛑 6. Strength training makes you bulky

Reality: This myth keeps women weak and afraid of their power. Strength training builds lean muscle, boosts metabolism, strengthens bones, and transforms your confidence. Most women don’t have the hormonal makeup to “bulk up”, but they do have everything they need to feel stronger, more sculpted, and more energized.

🛑 7. Restrictive dieting is sustainable

Reality: The more you restrict, the more you crave. Willpower isn’t a forever strategy. Diets that cut out entire food groups or keep you in a constant calorie deficit disconnect you from your body’s needs. Sustainability comes from balance, permission, mindfulness, and food freedom, not control and shame.

🛑 8. Your worth is tied to your weight

Reality: You are not your body size. Not your BMI. Not your pant size. Not the number on a scale. Your worth is unshakable and inherent. It doesn’t increase when you lose weight and it doesn’t decrease when you gain it. You are worthy,as you are.

🛑 9. Confidence comes after you shrink

Reality: Confidence isn’t something you magically find once you hit your goal weight. It’s built in the doing, in the workouts you show up for, in the boundaries you set, in the way you speak to yourself. Shrinking your body won’t automatically heal self-doubt. Loving and trusting yourself along the journey will.

🛑 10. Carbs are the enemy

Reality: Carbs are fuel. Your brain literally runs on glucose. Whole, complex carbs support energy, digestion, performance, and mood. Demonizing carbs disconnects you from one of the body’s most important sources of nourishment. It’s not carbs,it’s balance and quality that matter.

🛑 11. Rest days are lazy

Reality: Rest is productive. It’s where repair, growth, and restoration happen, physically and mentally. Rest isn’t lazy, it’s necessary. Skipping rest to “earn” your progress actually delays it. Honoring your rest days is an act of respect for your body, not weakness.

🛑 12. Beauty has an expiration date

Reality: Beauty doesn’t disappear,it evolves. It shifts from surface-level definitions to a deeper glow: your confidence, compassion, strength, and self-expression. You don’t age out of beauty, you age into another level of it.

🛑 13. You have to hustle 24/7 to be worthy

Reality: Burnout isn’t a badge of honor. Your worth doesn’t depend on your productivity or busyness. Rest, joy, softness, play, and stillness are just as valuable as drive and discipline. You are already enough, without having to prove it.

🛑 14. Your body needs to look like hers to matter

Reality: Your body was never meant to be a clone of someone else’s. Social media comparison culture tricks us into thinking there’s only one “ideal,” when in reality, beauty and health are wildly diverse. Your body matters because it’s yours. Full stop.

🛑 15. Healing is linear

Reality: Healing is a spiral. Some days you’ll feel like you’ve moved forward; other days, like you’ve taken two steps back. That’s not failure,it’s the nature of growth. Setbacks are part of the process, not proof that it’s not working. Keep going.

🛑 16. Emotional eating = failure

Reality: Using food to cope doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re human. Emotional eating is a cue,a message from your body and heart that something deeper needs your attention. The solution isn’t punishment,it’s compassion, curiosity, and support.

🛑 17. Skipping meals = discipline

Reality: Skipping meals sends your body into stress and survival mode, not discipline. Real self-discipline is honoring your hunger, eating regularly, and staying in tune with your body’s needs, not ignoring them in the name of control.

These messages were never about health. They were about control. About keeping women small, in our bodies, our confidence, our joy, and our potential.

But not anymore.

We’re done with hustle worship, food guilt, and fear-based fitness.
We’re done chasing perfection and punishing our bodies for being human.
We’re done measuring our worth in numbers.

Now? We rise.

We build strength without shame.
We eat with joy and purpose.
We rest without guilt.
We age with pride.
We trust our bodies.
And we reclaim our power.

This is your permission to break up with the lies, and start living fully, freely, and on your own terms.

You in?

With love and rebellion,
